Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy Monarch Waystation Clean-up
Help us prepare the Morven Park waystation for the Monarch butterflies' journey south. Please join us at Turkey Hill on Morven Park to learn how to identify and remove invasive plant species in the Monarch waystation. This will be a fun day for the whole family, and no experience is needed. In fact, we will teach you how to identify and remove invasive species in your own waystation/yard. We'll provide drinks and snacks, and gardening tools. Bring the kids along to do a craft, play dress up with monarch wings, and play in the garden! It's possible that we'll even have a few monarchs to release on the day! While the kids play, the adults will be doing work that's helping the monarchs prepare for their long journey south. Regardless of whether you can come for a half hour or two hours, we'd love to see you there and could really use your help!! We'll make it fun! Please Sign Up at http://www.loudounwildlife.org/SignUp.htm so we can plan for the fun!
