Economic Competitiveness, Housing Diversity, Transportation Investment Headline Loudoun Chamber’s 2017 Policy Priorities
Chamber continues advocacy for policies that create and promote a world-class business climate and quality of life in Loudoun County and Virginia
Lansdowne, VA – The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce today unveiled its 2017 Public Policy Agenda. Unanimously approved by the organization’s Board of Directors, the document represents the Chamber’s continuing commitment to advancing common-sense policies that expand economic opportunities, spur job growth and further enhances the quality of life for residents in Loudoun County and across the Commonwealth.
Among the Loudoun Chamber’s top priorities for 2017 are:
“The Public Policy Agenda is the product of intensive dialogue involving the Chamber’s leadership team, key outside stakeholders and our rank-and-file membership. This Agenda reflects the broad-based business community’s recommendations on public policy issues that we believe will lead to new jobs, a stronger economy and an even better quality of life,” said the Chamber’s Government Affairs Manager, Brian Fauls
“The Chamber will continue our long-standing efforts to ensure our elected officials, at all levels of government, hear the business community’s perspective on all of these important issues, and work with the business community to advance pro-business, pro-growth, pro-quality of life solutions for our local, state, regional and national challenges,” concluded Fauls.

- Fighting for public and private economic development programs and initiatives that ensure Loudoun County and the Commonwealth of Virginia has an environment conducive to business and job retention and growth;
- Fighting for expanded workforce training to prepare future and current job seekers with needed workforce credentials and licenses;
- Supporting more robust state and local efforts to increase housing diversity to meet the needs of Loudoun’s growing population and workforce; and
- Continuing to ensure that local, regional and state revenues for transportation and transit projects truly fund solutions that move the most people in the most cost-effective manner.
