Loudoun Chamber releases candidate questionnaire responses for School Board, Board of Supervisors, General Assembly races
Candidates’ answers posted to LoudounBizVotes.org web site; “BizVotes Campaign” highlights candidates’ support for Chamber’s pro-business agenda
Leesburg, VA – The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce today announced that nearly all of the candidates seeking state and local office in Loudoun in 2011 have completed the Chamber’s BizVotes Campaign questionnaire and their responses are posted to the www.loudounBizVotes.org web site.
The 2011 “BizVotes Election Education Campaign” is designed to educate Loudoun voters on where the candidates for the County’s state and local offices stand on the Chamber’s public policy priorities.
“There are many issues that will decide the 2011 elections. The Loudoun Chamber is proud to present the BizVotes campaign, to help voters learn how the candidates plan to address those issues that matter most to Loudoun’s economy, quality of life and the ability of businesses to create jobs for our residents,” said Chamber President Tony Howard.
Now in its fifth election cycle, the BizVotes Campaign is a non-partisan voter education effort created to inform Chamber members and the Loudoun electorate on where candidates for state and local offices stand on the Chamber’s pro-business policy agenda. The BizVotes Campaign achieves that mission through a comprehensive program that includes the questionnaires and candidate forums.
The 2011 BizVotes Campaign has focused on the races for Loudoun County’s Board of Supervisors and School Board, and on the Virginia General Assembly districts that represent Loudoun County.
“On November 8, Loudoun’s voters will decide who will represent their interests here in Loudoun and in Richmond. The BizVotes Campaign will equip voters with the information they need to determine which candidates are committed to supporting those policies that will protect Loudoun’s economic prosperity and world class quality of life,” said Howard.
