DESCRIPTION:North Gate Vineyard is pleased to announce the appointment of local artist\, Penny Hauffe as the program's newest Artist-in-Residence. Penny will be hosting a public reception showing her work entitled 'Joy - A collection created to bring a smile of Joy to young and young at heart' at North Gate Vineyard on Sunday September 18th\, from 3PM to 5PM. Her work will be on display through December 2016.\n\nPaintings in this collection feature scenes from recent travels\, animals (wild and domestic)\, and more whimsical pieces\, all painted within the last two years. They are united by the common theme of 'Joy'\, images that bring a smile to your face\; by their subject\, their cheerful colors and lighting. "Smile of Joy" is the singular portrait in the group\, pulling together the multimedia elements of many of the other paintings\, with gold leaf\, dimensional texture\, and bright patterns.
