SUMMARY:CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Course
DESCRIPTION:This course is fully accredited and compliant with OSHA's requirements.  The course will cover CPR procedures for the Adult\, Child and Infant\, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  Basic First Aid will cover controlling bleeding\, shock\, amputation\, burns\, sudden illness\, stroke diabetic emergencies\, choking and much more. \n\n \n\nThese classes are Blended Learning classes.  Blended Learning is designed to cut down on the time spent in the classroom\, and is designed to provide more hands on learning time.  There are two parts to this course.  Part one is the online class\, and Part two is the scheduled hands-on skills practical and testing.  \n\nOnce you are registered\, and have paid for the for the course\,  you will be sent a link via email to join the online class (Part One).  The online course (Part One) needs to be completed prior to the scheduled hands-on skills practical and testing date (Part-two).  During part-two of the course\, you will participate\, and demonstrate the skills\, and key knowledge set forth by American Safety & Health Institute's (ASHI) curriculum specifications.  Each participant will take a written test for each topic presented for certification.  Upon successfully passing the written test(s)\, hands-on skills practical and testing session\, you will be issued a certification card.  \n\nThe online classroom (Part one) should take about three to four hours.  The hands-on skills practical and testing should take approximately 2 1/2 hours.   \n\n \n\nThis class is structured for people in the workplace and community ~ Teachers\, child care workers\, general industry\, construction industry\, parents\, school bus drivers\, emergency response teams in a work setting ~ just to name a few.  This course is NOT recommended for people in the medical or dental industry\, First Responders\, Fire Fighters\, EMS workers.
