Extreme weather in other parts of the U.S. caused floods and wildfires. The growing weather risks to our businesses include power outages\, lost sales\, property damage\, absent employees and increased insurance costs.  While there are risks\, there is also a silver lining.   Building a resilient community\, for our homes and businesses\, creates significant economic opportunity\, from energy efficient retrofits to temporary staffing to disaster response.\n\n\n\nIn this seminar\, you'll learn about the current climate science and impacts and how local and national businesses are responding to the climate challenge by managing risks and building new business opportunities. As the executive for a 200 year-old property that features unique gardens and once in a lifetime events like weddings\, Andrea deals with the business challenges associated with weather and climate on a daily basis. She is a frequent speaker on climate-related topics as a former member of the Loudoun Board of Supervisors and a leader with the Climate Reality Project.
