The roles played by federal and state regulators\, grid operators\, utilities\, and elected officials are often just as unclear.\n\n\n\nThe Loudoun Chamber's "State of the Energy Market" will give Loudoun's business and community leaders a clear look at how the energy system actually works and how the big policy and infrastructure decisions get made.\n\n\n\nThe event opens with a keynote from The Honorable Josephus Allmond\, Chief Energy Officer in the Spanberger Administration. Following Mr. Allmond's presentation\, there will be a panel discussion featuring the leading decision-makers in setting regional\, state and local energy policies.  \n\n\n\nOur panel brings together four people at the center of these decisions:\n\nJudge Kelsey Bagot   Commissioner of the Virginia State Corporation Commission\, the state body that regulates utilities and sets rates.\n\nJason Stanek   Executive Director of Governmental Services at PJM Interconnection\, the operator that runs the regional power grid.\n\nBill Murray   Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications at Dominion Energy\, an investor-owned utility.\n\nKatharine Bond   Vice President of Commercial Operations at NOVEC\, a member-owned electric cooperative.\n\n \n\nTogether they'll help attendees understand who makes energy decisions\, what drives those decisions\, and how businesses and communities can have a voice in the process.
