Loudoun Chamber Foundation supports nonprofits focused on Chamber’s priorities: economic development, education, wellness and public safety

Lansdowne, VA – The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce today announced that its charitable arm, the Loudoun Chamber Foundation, will begin accepting applications from local nonprofits, seeking financial support for their work in our community, beginning Monday, November 2nd.

All Loudoun Chamber nonprofit members are eligible to apply for a Loudoun Chamber Foundation grant. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on November 23, 2020.

Since it was launched in December of 2014, the Loudoun Chamber Foundation has awarded $116,000 in grants to 32 local nonprofit groups focused on issues as diverse as education, health care, hunger and mental health. In 2019, through both the Foundation and other fundraising activities, the Loudoun Chamber generated more than $40,000 for Loudoun-based nonprofit organizations.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed just how much Loudoun County relies on our nonprofits to support our families and neighbors in need. It is inspiring to see Loudoun’s nonprofit community meet the epic challenges that this pandemic has created and do so with tireless compassion and care. That is why the Loudoun Chamber is more committed than ever to support these outstanding organizations and bring attention to their important work in our community,” said Loudoun Chamber President Tony Howard.

The Loudoun Chamber Foundation was created to support area nonprofits that focus on economic development, education, workforce development, public safety and wellness.

The Loudoun Chamber Foundation’s grant application will be available no sooner than November 2nd at  https://funding.communityfoundationlf.org/. A link to the grant application also is available at www.loudounchamber.org/non-profit-initiative.
