Virginia General Assembly Commends Loudoun Chamber
Loudoun Delegation Recognizes Chamber’s 50th Anniversary
Lansdowne, VA - The Virginia General Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution commending the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce on the Chamber’s 50th Anniversary in 2018.

Today, a dozen members of the Loudoun Chamber’s Board of Directors traveled to Richmond to meet with the Loudoun delegation to the General Assembly and receive the Commending Resolution. 
Mitch Sproul, Chairman of the Loudoun Chamber, said, “Having the General Assembly recognize the great work that the Loudoun Chamber is doing is a great honor. I feel it is a true privilege to be serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors during this momentous year in our history, and I look forward to our next fifty years with enthusiasm!”

Tony Howard, Loudoun Chamber President & CEO, stated, “We are grateful to have our entire delegation – Democrats and Republicans, Delegates and Senators - come together to honor our Chamber and our fifty years of service to our Loudoun community. This honor belongs to our 1,250 members and to five decades of Chamber leaders who built the great community we all enjoy today.”

The Commending Resolution reads, in part, “WHEREAS, from humble beginnings, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce … has grown to become the largest chamber of commerce in Northern Virginia … represents businesses, nonprofit organizations, and public sector partners of every size in Loudoun County … offers local business leaders exclusive opportunities to shape the vital legislative and public policy issues impacting Loudoun County’s economy … and WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce commemorated the historic milestone of its 50th anniversary at its annual meeting on January 26, 2018; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its 50th anniversary …”
