Loudoun’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy Program Manager Receives Trailblazer Award at National Conference

Loudoun Young Entrepreneurs Academy Program Manager Named Top Performing out of 60+ Programs Worldwide

Loudoun County, VA -  Over the last three years the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Economic Development Authority to bring the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)  to Loudoun students who seek to create, pitch, and launch their very own businesses. Program Manager, K.C. Repage has been managing the program for the last three years.

On May 1, 2019 she was awarded the Trailblazer Award by the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Headquarters in Rochester, NY. The trailblazer award is presented to the top three program managers who demonstrate commitment to advancing their individual YEA! Chapters above and beyond national standard.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a program for middle and high school students in Loudoun to create, pitch, and launch their very own businesses over a 7 month period. Students pitch their businesses to a panel of investors at the end of the program.

After graduating college in May of 2016 from Radford University, Repage accepted a job offer with the Loudoun Chamber to manage the YEA! Program which was a brand-new program to Loudoun at the time. Over the last three years the YEA! Program has produced 78 graduates, produced 74 businesses, and over a dozen students are still running the businesses they created in YEA! Class.

“This award would not be possible without our amazing volunteers. We have over 100+ volunteers for the program from instructors, graphic designers, mentors, guest speakers, and sponsors. This award is a true testament to our Loudoun community coming together to execute such an amazing program and helping shape our future business leaders! “stated Repage.
