Jaoni became the Loudoun County Director of Project Belong in 2020, after years of being a foster/adoptive parent and working in a volunteer capacity to organize community supports for children and families impacted by the Child Welfare System. As the County for Loudoun and Clarke, Jaoni performs outreach to local churches to form partnerships, and then assists the church in becoming aware, equipped and resourced to provide tangible and relationship support to vulnerable children, youth and families. Her strong relationship with the Dept. of Family Services allows her to quickly mobilize local churches to help address issues of homelessness, isolation, poverty and the need for foster and adoptive families. Jaoni and her husband were foster parents for 6 years, and have 4 amazing permanent children. Pulling from her professional and personal experience, Jaoni speaks and leads workshops at local churches, conferences, and local community events.
