2016 Bite Me Cancer Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House
Bite Me Cancer invites you to join us during Teen Cancer Awareness Week as we celebrate our growth and success with the opening of our new office space! We're hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony featuring light appetizers from Silver Spoon Catering, along with non-alcoholic beverages and a champagne toast.
This event is free; but space is limited, so please register soon to attend.
In just five years, our foundation has grown enough to require a small office space, especially with the success of our Teen Support Bag Program. Additional space was needed for storing supplies, assembling the bags, and shipping the boxes out to the more than 65 hospital partners across the United States. These Teen Support Bags have been warmly received by teenagers with cancer, their families and hospital staffs.
Beginning with 2015, there is now a Teen Cancer Awareness Week held across Virginia each year during the 3rd week of January (due to Bite Me Cancer's initiative), so we are honoring this special recognition by holding our open house during that week on January 21, 2016.
Since beginning in September 2010, Bite Me Cancer has raised funds to support 3 thyroid cancer research grants and has shipped out 2,200 Teen Support Bags so far! To learn more, please go to: www.BiteMeCancer.org .
