Nonprofit Academy: Strategic Storytelling for Nonprofits
Event Sponsors
Sally Strackbein is a speaking coach, storytelling coach, and business consultant. She has a proven track record of coaching speakers and business people to cut communication clutter, make their message stick, and get outstanding results.
Imagine chatting with someone you just met. As you tell them about your organization, they say, “How can I donate?” or “How can I volunteer?” This happens when you harness the world’s best communication tool, story.
People connect with your organization’s mission through their heart, not their head. Storytelling is the art of communicating heart-to-heart. Whether you are connecting online, in-person or through the written word, storytelling is the key to persuasion.
In this workshop you will:
• Learn the types of stories non-profits should tell
• Learn to structure them correctly—and yes, there are ways to get it wrong
• Discover the elements that make your story emotionally compelling
You will have the opportunity to craft and tell at least one story. And you will receive a learning guide to take home to refer to as you create your stories.
