PolicyMaker Series: Developing the Next Generation Workforce
Developing the Next Generation Workforce
In an era of unceasing technological evolution, workforce development leaders at all levels are making historic investments and fostering new innovations and partnerships to develop a 21st-century workforce needed to keep the American economy on top.
On August 29th, the Loudoun Chamber is bringing together Virginia’s top local, regional, and statewide education and workforce development leaders to discuss how they use innovation and collaboration to prepare students and workers for the next generation's workforce.
Leading this discussion will be Carrie Roth, Director for the Virginia Department of Workforce Development and Advancement. In 2022, Governor Youngkin and the General Assembly came together to reform Virginia’s workforce training and development programs, consolidating those into the newly formed Department of Workforce Development and Advancement.
Joining Director Roth are Steven Partridge, Vice President for Strategy, Research and Workforce Innovation at Northern Virginia Community College, and Dr. Tinell Priddy, Principal at the Academies of Loudoun.
