PolicyMaker Series: State of Housing
Driven by insufficient supply and government policies limiting new home construction, Loudoun’s housing affordability challenge is making it harder for workers to live near their jobs and adversely impacting our quality of life.
On May 23rd, the Loudoun Chamber will convene state and regional housing experts to discuss solutions that are working to increase the supply of attainable housing across Virginia and close to home.
Part of the 2024 Policymaker Series, this event will feature two keynote presentations. The first being Brian Koziol, Executive Director, Virginia Housing Alliance, the nonprofit that advocates for the expansion of housing opportunities and ending homelessness throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Following Mr. Koziol, we look forward to hearing from John Hall, Director, Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development, the agency that provides rental and homeownership assistance programs, affordable housing loans for rental developments, and partners with the business community on a variety of community development projects.
Following both keynote presentations, the event will feature a panel discussion featuring regional and local housing leaders discussing how they are working together to make housing more accessible and more affordable for all.
