PolicyMaker Series - State of Innovation in Education
Our keynote speaker is Dr. Ed Hatrick, who will offer his annual report on the quality of public education in our community and the challenges facing our schools in the coming years.
Dr. Julie A. Leidig, Provost of Northern Virginia Community College's Loudoun Campus, will discuss innovative programs like SySTEMIC, TEALS, and dual-enrollment to strengthen the science, technology, engineering, math and health (STEM+H) pipeline from elementary and middle school to high school, to NOVA, into four-year institutions and ultimately into the workforce.
Andrew J. Rotherham, Co-Founder and Partner at Bellwether Education, a non-profit organization focused on strategies to move beyond the limitations of the traditional K-12 education delivery model to help empower families to obtain a high quality education that can meet the unique needs of each child, and ultimately maximize their future economic opportunities and ability to be successful in the workforce.
