Workshop - Building an Inclusive Workplace: Strategies for DEIA
The Loudoun Chamber’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee is proud to present the first 2025 installment of the DEIA Cultural Awareness Workshop series on "Inclusivity."
This 1.5-hour session will explore the importance of an inclusive workplace, its benefits, and the journey towards achieving inclusivity. This interactive workshop, led by Yasmin Virani of Yas Consulting Services, will include individual reflection, small and large group discussions, and practical tools to foster an inclusive business environment.
You will leave the session with:
- Understanding the Importance of Inclusivity: Learn why creating an inclusive workplace is crucial, what its benefits are to employees and the organization, and what steps are involved in progressing towards inclusivity.
- Practical Tools and Strategies for Inclusion: Explore actionable methods to enhance metrics creation and measurement, awareness, recruitment, retention, accessibility, and community engagement within the workplace.
- Hands-On Experience with DEIA Scenarios: Gain practical experience by participating in small groups to discuss possible solutions to real-world DEIA scenarios and inclusion challenges faced by small business owners, nonprofit organizations, and those within corporate environments.
