Overview

Wed Society® | Northern Virginia is seeking a Marketing Intern to support our Marketing Manager with social media, content creation, and community engagement for our wedding vendor network. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, community building and event support.

You'll report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with them day-to-day, with regular guidance and feedback as you take on projects.

This is a remote, part-time internship with occasional in-person meetings and events in Northern Virginia. Only candidates based in this area will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Marketing Support – Assist with campaign execution and help pull performance metrics for reporting.

• Member Support – Help track wedding submissions and promotions; assist with member communications under the Marketing Manager's direction.

• Social Media – Help create and schedule content for Instagram and TikTok; monitor comments and engagement, and flag opportunities for interaction.

• Website Support – Assist with updating member profiles and blog posts; help draft the bi-weekly newsletter.

• Event Support – Help with logistics and on-the-day support for quarterly networking events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

• Comfortable creating content for Instagram and TikTok.

• Interest in digital marketing, social media, and the wedding/events industry.

• Familiarity with HubSpot, Asana, or similar tools a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Part-time, 10 - 20 hours/week with flexible scheduling around school/other commitments.

• Hourly rate: $20 - $25/hour

• Mentorship from the Marketing Manager and exposure to the full marketing function.

• Opportunity for a letter of recommendation or reference upon successful completion.

• Potential path to future paid role, depending on performance and business need.
