As the chief tax assessing officer, the Commissioner's primary duty under Virginia Code is to ascertain and assess, at fair market value, all subjects of taxation in Loudoun. The office values all real estate and administers individual and business property taxes, business licenses, land use, tax relief and provides state income tax filing assistance.
