Chamber’s Government Affairs Manager Joins Housing Advisory Board

Board of Supervisors appoints Theo Stamatis to panel advising County on housing policies

Loudoun County, VA –The President of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the organization’s Government Relations Manager, Theo Stamatis, has been appointed to serve on Loudoun County’s Housing Advisory Board.

A unanimous appointment by the Board of Supervisors, Stamatis joins the influential group advising County leadership and staff on policies and investments needed to achieve Loudoun’s aggressive housing goals.

“Theo is an excellent choice for this role. He is acutely aware of the devastating impact that Loudoun’s out-of-control housing costs have on our employer’s ability to attract and retain talent. He's also well versed in the business community’s solutions to create more housing that is affordable to those public and private sector workers who serve our community,” said Loudoun Chamber President Tony Howard.

For the past two decades, the Loudoun Chamber has been the business community’s leading advocate for the County’s affordable workforce housing needs. The Chamber has consistently pushed the Board to advance policies and increase investments to strengthen Loudoun’s workforce housing supply.

The Chamber has supported the Board’s efforts to invest in Loudoun’s Housing Trust Fund, create the Department of Housing and Community Development, and advance other goals within the Unmet Housing Needs Strategic Plan.

“With Theo’s knowledge and work ethic, the Chamber will continue its aggressive efforts to expand existing housing initiatives, creating sound housing policy, and mobilizing the community to develop and sustain workforce housing programs,” Howard continued.
