Loudoun Chamber to Honor 175 Local Heroes at 40th Annual Loudoun Valor Awards
Inova Blood Drive Following Event at National Conference Center in Lansdowne Open to Entire Community
Lansdowne, VA – The Loudoun Chamber will honor 175 of our community’s real-life heroes, including 18 heroic citizens, for their courageous and often lifesaving actions, at the 40th Annual Loudoun Valor Awards. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia.
Loudoun’s top business and community leaders will join us for this proud Chamber tradition and demonstrate their respect and appreciation for these dedicated public servants and their selfless acts of heroism and service. The event will be hosted by Emcees from ABC7 news anchors Adam Longo and Victoria Sanchez.
This year’s honorees will include Sterling Volunteer Firefighter Trevor Brown, who lost his life in a home explosion on February 16, 2024, on Silver Ridge Drive in Sterling. Firefighter Brown will receive only the third Gold Medal of Valor in the 40-year history of the Loudoun County Valor Awards. A total of 10 Medals of Valor are being awarded to volunteer and career members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire & Rescue Department for their heroic response to this deadly incident.
“For 40 years, the Loudoun Chamber has proudly presented the Valor Awards, to express our community’s appreciation for the selfless acts of heroism and service that our first responders demonstrate, every shift. That commitment has never been more apparent than on the evening of February 16, 2024, when Firefighter Trevor Brown lost his life, and nine of his colleagues suffered significant injuries, while in volunteer service to our community,” said Loudoun Chamber President Tony Howard
