Non-Profit Academy - Direct Mail, Not Junk Mail
Non-Profit Academy Workshop #3
Don’t Use the “J” Word! Why direct response fundraising via mail is anything but junk!
Learn basic messaging and content guidelines for effective direct response communications, measuring success, and creating meaningful metrics. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to construct a direct mailing that is cost efficient and targets the right audience with the right message.
Participants are welcome to bring their current “go-to” direct mail package.
This workshop is for staff and volunteers responsible for raising money or promoting events with direct mail. Presenter Trish McNeal, Director of Development at Oatlands will share her experience at AOL with direct mail, list use and selection, the difference between acquisition mailings and house mailings, outsourcing, and how to optimize your mailing for costs.
